Enter your item price, the shipping you charge, your orders a month and your own cost per order. The Payout check lays out each platform’s fees line by line, using the rates on its own pricing pages, and shows what you would keep.
Rates from Etsy’s Fees and Payments Policy and Etsy Payments Policy (US), Amazon’s pricing and referral fee pages, and Shopify’s pricing page as checked in October 2026. Platforms change fees; confirm on their current pages. Taxes, ads you buy, FBA and card processing on Shopify are not included.
How the numbers are worked out
Etsy: a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping and payment processing of 3% plus $0.25 for a US seller, from Etsy’s Fees and Payments Policy and Etsy Payments Policy. Sales tax is left out. Tick Offsite Ads to add the 15% fee on an attributed order, or 12% once a shop has passed $10,000 in yearly sales, never more than $100 per order.
Amazon: the referral fee for the fee category you pick, charged on the total price including shipping, with a $0.30 minimum, from Amazon’s referral fee table. Some categories use one rate for the whole price, others charge different rates on different portions; the check follows the table. Media items add a $1.80 closing fee. The Individual plan adds $0.99 per item; the Professional plan’s $39.99 a month is divided by your orders a month. Fulfillment by Amazon fees are not included.
Shopify: the plan fee divided by your orders a month, as listed on Shopify’s pricing page when we checked in October 2026 (Basic $19, Grow $49, billed yearly). With a third-party payment provider, Shopify adds 2% on Basic or 1% on Grow. Card processing with Shopify Payments depends on your country, so it is not calculated; check the pricing page for yours.
Your cost per order is whatever you spend to fill one order: materials, packaging and the shipping label.
